TRUE Experience – A TrueMoney Journey
I started my journey with TrueMoney as a Quality Assurance Lead in May of 2016. I was excited back then because I was part of a pioneer team. We had the opportunity to develop the TrueMoney Agent mobile application–TrueMoney’s cash in, bills payment, load, and remittance app, from scratch. I remember at that time, we had sleepless nights and we were staying in the office longer than usual just to meet deadlines. All were busy preparing for the project launch and the project tagline: “Kaya Natin To” was apt and it suited what was happening. Then, with the success of the project launch, I was proud to be one of the TRUE HERO awardees for 2016.
Two years passed and I was appointed to lead the Technology Operations Team. The new role was a challenge for me and it was a big step for my career. I was hesitant to accept it at first then I realized that the step helped me grow professionally and personally. Then after another year, my manager opened up another opportunity for a promotion to Service Operations Manager handling L3 and NOC teams. I was pregnant then and I thought, “ang dami na nilang ampon ko.” I enjoyed being a manager because of them.
Fast forward to 2021, my superior offered another opportunity that I knew I was not ready for. With my superior’s trust and confidence, and the other teams’ support, I accepted. I am now the OIC for the Technology Team.
By sharing my story, I realized that my journey is like a roller coaster ride. It’s fast, scary but exciting and thrilling at the same time. I am grateful to TrueMoney for this experience and for unlocking my full potential.
